She has expertise in microbiology, molecular epidemiology and epidemiological surveillance. She mainly works on epidemiology of communicable diseases, with focus on Healthcare-associated Infections (HAIs), cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, public policies on prevention and control of HAIs and vulnerability to HAIs.
